Question by : What’s the difference between yoga and exercising?
I have to type a definition paper for an English class. I want to define yoga as meditation instead of it being considered exercise. I want to determine what is the difference between the two and/or what various qualities do exercising and yoga have that make them different from each other.

Kind of hard since yoga IS exercise AND a form of meditation. It’s a matter of personal preference and why you do it.

well yoga increases ones bio-electricity. and that’s pretty much what meditation is it increases electricity
Yoga consists of slow movements to execute poses that are held for a time before release. Yoga is done in one place, as a stationary exercise, and the movements are not jerky or hurried. These are the reason which differentiates Yoga from other exercises.

well, beside physical exercises, yoga helps you to improve your mood, your way of thinking helps you to relax. ….as for me after yoga practicing is more efficient than practicing other types of exercises, gym.
